Spring is on it’s way! The days get longer and warmer, this means we can finally spend more time outside. A new season is the perfect occasion to do a big cleaning and decluttering. In this post we tell you how to get spring ready.
It’s time for a big cleaning! Start with cleaning your home and/or room. A clean space really helps to bring your mind in a peaceful state. After cleaning your home it’s time to clean yourself physically and mentally. First start with planning a whole self care day! Go to the hairdresser, get a manicure and pedicure, put on a hydration mask, get a hair mask, shave your body and put on some nice body lotion. You immediately feel reborn! When your body is spring ready, it’s time to get your mind spring ready. Grab a notebook and a pen and start journaling. Write down all the things that are happening in your life and all the thoughts and emotions that come with it. Are there any negative thoughts? Try to transform them into positive thoughts. Are you not going into the direction that you want? Come up with an action plan! Try to put your mind into a positive state and work on achieving your dream life. Journaling on a regular base will really help you to reflect and change your life in a positive way.
Get rid of old stuff
We tend to collect a lot of items that we don’t necessarily use. Think of clothing, shoes, accessories or home accessories. It’s time to get rid of all the things that we don’t use anymore! First start with your wardrobe. Fill up a big box with all the clothing you don’t wear anymore and donate it to charity, thrift stores or friends and family. After your wardrobe it’s time to get rid of all the home and other items you don’t like and use anymore. You can sell those items on a flea market or donate them as well!
Now that you’ve cleaned up your wardrobe, it’s time to fill it up with new spring items! Go for light colors and prints! Animal prints and flower prints are super trendy this season. Go for a leopard skirt and a crocodile printed bag for example. Another big trend this season are hair clips. They give a cute touch to every look! Go for a gold infinity hair clip or a diamond hair slide.
Get rid of bad habits
Spring is the perfect time to get rid of bad habits! Again, grab a notebook and a pen and start thinking about all the things that you can improve in your life. It’s important that you are really honest to yourself right now. Are you always going to bed too late? Do you sleep in a lot? Are you always too late? Do you have an unhealthy lifestyle? Do you gossip a lot? Try the to think about all the bad habits you have and write them down. Now it’s time to make an action plan! How are you going to get rid of these bad habits? Changing a habit usually takes 21 days. Be really conscious about changing your habit in the first 21 days. Reflect everyday and track your process!
Start a new hobby
Spring is the perfect occasion to start a new hobby! Do you want to be more creative? Plan some time to write, draw or paint into your day to day life. Or maybe you want to learn a new language. Then sign yourself up for a class!
A healthy lifestyle really improves your life! A healthy and balanced lifestyle is not only good for your physical body but also for your mental health. Get rid of all the sodas and junk food and start eating healthy and balanced meals. Implement a lot of veggies and fruits into your diet and you feel light and healthy immediately. Also start to move your body! Go for long walks, go to the gym, go for a run or take a yoga class!
Planning trips in nature
Since the weather gets better this season, it’s time to spend more time outside. Fresh air really improves your mood! Go for long walks with a friend or have a nice and cosy picnic in the park. You can also plan some nice days to the beach or have a nice evening in your garden or on your balcony with a friend.
